gem install openwferu-kotoba

with one comment

kotoba.pngI’ve just released Kotoba in its own gem : “openwferu-kotoba”.

I’ve also set up a webpage describing its usage.

What is it ?

It’s a library / command line utility for turning (large positive) integers into japanese sounding words and back.

Why ?

Because sometimes it’s easier to memorize a word than a fat integer.

Why Japanese ?

Because it uses far less sounds than other languages and because it ‘sounds’ nice. For me at least, it’s easier to remember such a word than an integer.

Beware : it cannot turn all of the japanese words into integers.
