Lukas’ last IDE release

Tomorrow Lukas will be presenting his master thesis. He managed to release a new version of his OpenWFE IDE.

This IDE is unfortunately currently Java 1.5 only and is packaged just for the windows platform. This last point isn’t that ‘unfortunate’ : most IDE convinced users are windows-based.

Lukas won’t certainly continue with it : he’ll immediately start with his first job. But another student, Marius, will take over and expand the tool, in October. Meanwhile, if someone is interested and skilled enough, he’s welcome.

The IDE is a tool for editing OpenWFE participant maps and process definitions, an emphasis was put on mapping webservices as participants. The objectives for Marius’ work haven’t been defined for now, there are lots of options. Michael would like to explore some ‘semantic web’ concepts.
