workflow control patterns

lemming.jpgThe “Workflow Patterns” are a cataloguing effort from the Eindhoven University of Technology and the Queensland University of Technology.

This pattern mapping effort started in 1999 and got refreshed in 2006. The new website features better flash animations of the various control flow patterns. The font of the titles makes me think of the “Lemmings“, it contrasts with the austerity of other BPM / workflow related sites.

A few years ago, I described how to implement the workflow control patterns in them for OpenWFE. I just started a similar effort for OpenWFEru : a workflow control pattern page. For each pattern, there will be an implementation example in OpenWFEru process definition language.
