about processes and engines

Pat Cappelaere is building a GeoBPMS tool.

Unfortunately, it’s not about sending OpenWFEru in orbit, like Pat already did for some other cool software, but it’s nonetheless about assembling and exploiting data, mainly satellite pictures.

Pat is composing a BPMS application out of open source Ruby components like Rails and OpenWFEru. He plans on using XForms extensively.

He published a document describing the initial steps of the OpenWFEru into Rails integration and calls for comments on his GeoBliki blog.

There have been lots of requests for a Rails integration howto, I even started to think that, yes, Rails completely hides Ruby. So thanks to Pat we have such a document.
