AideRSS

Ilya is a great Ruby blogger, he writes detailed blog posts on various Rails and Ruby subjects. And now his startup released AideRSS :

AideRSS is an intelligent assistant that saves time and keeps you on top of the latest news. We research every story and filter out the noise, allowing you to focus on what matters most

I’ve played with it for a little while and it’s really interesting for people following lots of feeds. There is a “PostRank” computation which is very valuable for blog authors (until now I only knew about Technorati’s authority number), it ranks the posts in a feed and among feeds.

AideRSS is very easy to use, it has this Rails feeling. You can upload your opml file very easily and thus view nice stats about your global feed.

Behind the scene, it relies on Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Amazon EC2.

Have a look at Ilya’s blog and at his new, great tool, AideRSS. Congrats to Ilya !

  1. Thanks a lot John! It’s been a busy past couple of months, but it’s great to finally get it out the door, for the world to see! :)
