OpenWFEru 0.9.13 released

OpenWFEru 0.9.13, an open source Ruby workflow/BPM engine, just got released.

This is the announcement on the users mailing list.

The gems are available for download from RubyForge.org, as well as the source code.

This new release features ProcessParticipant, a way of aliasing subprocesses behind a participant name (replacing a fat URL with a simpler name), and the cursor commands are available for the ‘iterator’ expression (you can now break out of an iterator or skips steps in it).

As mentioned in the release announcement, Extras (SQS, TwitterParticipant, Decision Tables, …) have been relocated in the “openwferu-extras” gem.

I have started documenting a bit more the decision tables. It’s really “work in progress”. Those tables have been in OpenWFEru since March and only now do they get a better documentation, too bad, because they can be really helpful.
